Bump Up The Contrast
“Taking a flash photo in a dark room overexposes your face to the point where it can look washed out and wide,” says makeup artist Robin Black. “Even if you think your makeup looks striking at home, err on the side of heavy-handed when you know you’ll be in photos.” If you’re worried you’ll end up looking like a clown, Black suggests turning off all the lights and taking a selfie with the flash on before you leave.
