When your child is acting out you probably yell and scream at him and this it’s not the solution. You need to take this problem with calm and wisdom and use some methods to get your child’s attention. Sometimes, being a parent is very hard and yelling at your child can be as damaging as hitting him. Raising your voice is not the solution, when your child is acting out. If you start saying “you are always hitting me” it’s not as effective as saying “I am very sad that you hit me”. Show the emotional connection and include your feeling, when you are talking with your child. Also, you need to encourage your child to respond using “I” statements.
